CAKE MIX CHOCOLATE ITALIAN COOKIES
If you’re looking for just one more yummy Christmas cookie to serve on your dessert table this year, make it these delicious Cake Mix Chocolate Italian Cookies! They’re moist, full of flavor and easy to make too!
Cake Mix Italian Chocolate Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup canola oil
- 3/4 cup water
- 3 cups flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. cloves
- 1 cup finely chopped walnuts
- 1 cup raisins, chopped
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
For the Glaze:
- 2 confectioners sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- half and half
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
- Combine all ingredients in your Kitchen Aid mixer and roll the dough into 2 inch balls.
- Place them on parchment lined baking sheets and bake for 8-10 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and to a cooling rack to cool completely.
- Make your glaze by slowly adding half and half to the sugar and vanilla in a small saucepan and whisking it over medium heat until you get the consistency you are looking for.
- Dip the tops of the cookies into the glaze and place back on a cooling rack to harden.
- Garnish with holiday sprinkles if you wish.
- Makes about 4 dozen cookies.
